Re: Current Astons Public BUS Fleet List

Thanks very much Astons Coaches for that list - Have there been any changes in recent times - like ownership, management, etc ? In these very difficult (economic) times for BUS operators, I'd be interested to know what Astons Coaches think about the future of bus services in Worcestershire and Heref...

Strange how things change. I was waiting at the lights at the Bull Ring earlier and saw a solo in the old mostly white livery - it almost looked out of place!
...... that's because you see mostly RED buses now, you lucky devil ;)

Re: Possible Non-Runners (?)

Very odd today. I was sent out to show a new driver the 365 route so expected to be late back because it's not an easy one to learn. However, there was no traffic anywhere so the bus was only 5 minutes late into Crowngate and the 32 ran on time. Still no traffic, even at the St. Peter's roadworks, ...

Re: Possible Non-Runners (?)

. ........ but the 1705 was on the stand loading passengers and I was instructed to drop the service and ensure the 1730 short 144 ran on time. Thanks Adam and bmmoboy ! It may amuse you to learn ( - or cause you to bang your heads against a wall) that The Crowngate 17.05 departure of the 32 (to Kem...

StreetDeck breakdowns

A StreetDeck was broken down at Powick this afternoon, about 4PM. According to my passenger it was 35158. I hope that First will apply maximum pressure to Wrightbus to "sort" their recent vehicles (and demand an extension to the warranty). I've got the impression that the StreetDecks are b...

Re: Possible Non-Runners (?)

And (missing) again today. - two people and a baby waiting for 40 minutes, near the top of the Bath Road, for the 32 that was supposed to leave the St.Peters terminus at 17.05, - (to Crowngate). I believe that for many years, First has missed-off various 32s (the Southern section) and/or not dispatc...

She's a runner! Had a couple of nights on it and started straight away.
That's incredibly good Mechwr26, I'm VERY impressed !!

- perhaps First aught to buy that vacant warehouse opposite the garage, and set you up there as an engine overhaul unit, with a couple of apprentices ! :)

Re: Possible Non-Runners (?)

- Missing again today ! - There were only 3 "losers" waiting for return bus today (the 17.05 from St.Peters) - They were at the St.Marks Church bus stop, and had to wait about 40 minutes again. When I started this thread last September, I didn't expect the problem to last this long ! ( - D...
