Re: Kington opportunity ?

How about a Bromyard outstation then Adam ? ( :D ) - how old is Dave R. Morris - will he retire soon ? I've always felt that one of the big bus companies ought to have had one here in the past. Sargeants have, in the recent past, (during the day, I think) - parked a single-decker near Martley School...

Re: The 35

My guess is that the area around the Chequers and railway bridge needs re-modelling to include modern coordinated traffic lights that also give priority to buses, and -- the area around the Vauxhall Inn needs re-modelling with perhaps two crossings, but with the removal of the existing one with that...

Kington opportunity ?

I see in today's "Notices + Proceedings", that Sargeants of Kington have had their operating license reduced from 27 vehicles to 22, with a further reduction of two to come in April. I'm sad about this, as it could be the beginning of the end for them -- I'm wondering if any of their bus o...

The 35

Because of the rumour that Worcester might get 10 year old Mercedes Citaros, and use them on the 35, I've referred to the bus graph to see what the current allocation is; -- I had noticed that much newer StreetLites were often on it, but I was shocked to find that just 5 StreetLites provide the main...

Re: "New" vehicles for Worcester?

I may be thinking a little outside the box here, however the 6 vehicle number got me thinking. After the 12 green Volvos are all in service, there will be odd vehicles left over. 67652/63-5, 67699 and 66305. Total 6 vehicles....... Just saying!!! I agree ! The Big Boss may well want our enviros for...

Re: "New" vehicles for Worcester?

There have been some rumours around the Canteen at Crowngate saying that Worcester are expecting 6 Mercedes-Benz Citaros from the depot(s) at Slough and Bracknell. Has anyone any more information. I've never driven a Mercedes (apart from the awful 608's), but have travelled on Yarrantons vehicle ma...
