Re: Summer Saturday 44

Yes. Following the closure of the Commercial Office at Worcester and the work moving to Leicester, they forgot to register the service for this year. Same goes for Service 418. Thanks Adam !!! -- relating to the 418, - do you know if they have made a decision about using a DD on the 417 durin...

Summer Saturday 44

Can we assume the Summer Saturday variant of the 44 ( - was it the 44B ?) has been dropped ? ( IE - the extension to Ledbury).

Worcestershire's future passenger transport

https://www.worcesternews.co.uk/news/17678228.public-to-have-say-on-major-transport-strategy-for-worcestershire/ There's an opportunity coming along for us bus enthusiasts and Worcestershire bus users to have an input on this, - albeit bearing in mind the chronic shortage of money, and failing local...

Re: First Group to be split and sold off.

Another possibility not mentioned on here yet (I believe) is :- The official announcement by the current board of directors, includes the possibility of "de-merging / spinning-off" (etc) First Bus UK (with it's own shares). That might still allow SOME of First UK's companies to be sold-off ASAP, but...

Re: will diamond buy worcester

wonder if diamond will buy Worcester with first bus being sold off My current guess is that First Bus UK will be sold to a "financial or big business" type company / organisation first , who will also buy Arriva bus, and then decide which bits to sell to various operators / companies (??) I would l...

Yes, it’s raining. Yes, had lunch in the Blue Boar. Food was very good. Saw the ex-Worcester Solos and Vario 506 still in service. Now heading home on 35157 with my replacement at the wheel!
Excellent !! :)

Re: Hay on Wye 2019

I’m riding out to Hay with Driver Mansfield at the moment. The bus is 35159... first day back with its new engine. Have a nice day Adam ! -- -- I hope the engine has been run-in properly for getting-up Fromes Hill on the way back ! Dont forget if it's peeing-it-down with rain, the Blue Boar is "qui...

Any news on the second coach that was scheduled to arrive today?
It's 20809 YN62GXS, again from Reading (in my 2016 handbook).

Don't know whether it's permanent though, and it has a different Volvo chassis to 20611 -- same body type and colour scheme though.

Re: Hay on Wye 2019

Well, tomorrow has arrived, but I have not seen any further Leicester 'deckers, and looking at the tracking system this afternoon, we appear to have enough DDs (just) ! -- You were right willr7, 35189 is here, and has been used on the 32/37, and 363/365. -- I got a nice "nostalgic buzz" seeing this ...

Re: Double Deckers

Just a thought - These newer DDs could possibly come from First West Yorkshire (Leeds) as they have and still are receiving new StreetDecks! This means that in return some of there older DDs should be displaced. It appears that this is/will be the case as some of there Volvo B9TL's have started to ...
