Excellent news about the 144A set to continue, especially with the route extension to the QE and frequency improvement. I use the 144A a lot and its very popular and increasing in popularity.

I know i'm dreaming but i would love to see NXWM do a 144 all the way to Worcester as a Platinum route.

It's on it today (5th Dec). I've just ridden it from Redditch to Worcester. Was chatting to driver and he said it basically stays on the same running card all week Mon to Fri. I've known it be swapped out for the lunchtime journey with a different vehicle but mainly the same bus stays on the 149 / 1...

A quick fix to plug part of the 62 would be to run the 149 Redditch to Worcester via Matchborough West along Battens Drive and Icknield Drive instead of Woodrow which has lots of buses anyway on the Matchborough circulars. The 149 isn't frequent but better than nothing at all. Doesn't help Matchboro...

Back in the day I used to use the bus from Redditch to Birmingham a lot. It was great having the choice of routes via Alvechurch, via Bromsgrove or via Wythall. I usually opted for the 146 via Alvechurch as it was quicker but used to use the other routes sometimes for a change

I'm absolutely flabbergasted at the impending withdrawal of the 52 / 52A. I use these routes a lot between Bromsgrove and Redditch and also between Bromsgrove and Kidderminster. I've never been on one that isn't at least half full. It's a core trunk route connecting Kidderminster - Bromsgrove - Redd...

Currently on the 14:15 149 from Redditch to Worcester (13th May). Only passenger on from Redditch bus station. Seems to have been the same vehicle allocated to the 149 all week I think.

One thing that really infuriates me, is why bus companies and particularly First, mess about with route branding buses at significant cost for virtual no gain, especially in places like Worcester where they are the operator with virtually zero competition. The Riverside 31 livery was a waste of time...

We must of just missed each other Tim. I was going to catch the 149 direct back to Worcester but got tempted by my favourite Optare Solo on the 52A to Bromsgrove instead.

The other main difference between the 150A and the 149 is that the 149 doesn't go via Greenlands and Lodge Park in Redditch. Just runs direct via Woodrow instead.
