Excellent 37 action. And to think there used to be loads of them based about 300 yards away from where I now live. Just one semi-permanent 66 now!

Re: The End of Worcester to Birmingham 144 !!
The bit of dual carriageway between Lydiate Ash and Rubery could be a bit hair raising  Had a few white knuckle rides on the 23.20 off Brum on a Saturday night back in the days of E300's those rumble strips approaching the M5 island were a killer.Had the same driver on it quite a few times i...

Re: Duchess in Cornwall
Nice one Tim. Bredicot is still a great shot, I always tended to head down Ashchurch way from home if shooting on that line. Great to see 6233, I'm hoping if the group that has been formed to get the St Blazey turntable going is successful we'll see more steam down here.

I was a bit late for the Nationals, but certainly enjoyed the 144 more than most.
If you had the right vehicle, the run down from Bromsgrove to Wychbold could see some pretty high speeds, although I suspect my priorities were a little different to others!

Duchess in Cornwall
Saw Duchess of Sutherland on the last two days of her tour round the country. Steam all the way to Penzance is a rarity at the moment, but with a day's gap in the schedule and the assistance of 47802, she was taken back up to Plymouth to be turned on the triangle. Thursday evening, the Duchess heads...

You can still get a train from Worcester to Malvern up to about 11pm, West Midlands Trains at least must be happy to see this!

Re: Royal Windsor Statesman 13 April 2022
Good to see Tim.
In a way I always feel its a kind of shame so many trains are 'top and tailed' as there are so many places where run-round facilities no longer exist.
