Re: Redditch bus routes under threat

Diamond's webpage now says the 62 has been saved. Of course, tomorrow's another day.

Re: Redditch bus routes under threat

A little more detail here: https://www.diamondbuses.com/news/ww-august-service-changes/ No mention of the 62, which might be a casualty. If so, it and the changes to the 67/247 are the main alterations. Have Diamond done a better deal than First? Also Studley might wish it was in Worcestershire rath...

Re: Cannock depot sold to Centrebus/D & G Bus

Bringing back the Chaserider name gives me a good feeling. I am wondering where this leaves Tamworth. I love seeing the 110 number (even if the bus isn't red). It has its own little area of Sutton to serve and it actually competes with NXWM in a way I don't think the 144 can ever do. It is faster be...

Re: September 2020 service changes.

http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/info/20021/bus_travel/2286/additional_local_bus_services_september_2020 Further info is that First are to run two contracts, as listed above, - no details yet. I noticed they mentioned a service 2S in Malvern and Worcester operated by First but can't find anything o...

Re: Next Service changes

I think that the Diamond update page has changed since I first looked at it. If I recall, there was a general move to more normal timetables from 31 May, but that is now limited to Kidderminster's 3 and Redditch's 57/58. The statement that the 146 and 303 will not be re-instated has disappeared. Don...

They could call it "Midland Express"!
I'm old enough to remember when Bromsgrove- Birmingham was the strongest part of the route. It's Bromsgrove which loses out here. Bromsgrove needs a service called 'National Express West Midlands'.

Here's a bit more ! https://www.worcesternews.co.uk/news/16909373.full-review-into-worcestershires-bus-network-begins-but-councillors-wont-have-long-to-investigate/ I am suspicious of this review. Re: Autumn 2018 service changes/cuts

I'm just grateful that two county councillors wanted to provide a subsidy on the Upton services. Adam was quite right when he told me earlier that what seemed to me totally inconsistent provision of subsidised services in different parts of Worcestershire was due to individual county councillors. Th...

Re: September 2018 Timetable Book

Was there a hint here? Posted a few days ago by Adam:

Looks like Stagecoach are slowly taking over in Evesham... I wonder if they are hiring? 😜

We shall have to wait and see.
