Re: Diamond in and around Bromsgrove.

The 202 Halesowen to Bromsgrove service is back this week serving the Old Birmingham Road and Lickey End again. Sadly, the couple of buses I have seen so far were not very well patronised, not helped I am sure by the lack of publicity about its return. When will operators realise that potential pass...

Re: Dudleys Coaches to close at end of year

Sad news indeed and I fear there will be more to come. No company can continue with a lack of customers indefinitely without financial support. John Johnson of Johnsons coaches was interviewed on TV yesterday and sounded far from his usual cheerful self.

Re: Twilight Running Day Pt I at Wythall 25 Oct.2020

Thanks for the research, Tim. Both would have made a nice tidy profit. I am now trying to work out whether I'm in the banger or vintage category. I would hope the latter but I fear it's the former!!

Re: Twilight Running Day Pt I at Wythall 25 Oct.2020

My brother had one which he bought second hand in the late 1950s and which as a young teenager I was allowed to help him clean and occasionally ride in. He had it for three years or so before trading it in for a new Ford Anglia (one of the ones with the inverted rear window). More practical and comf...

Re: Coniston Coaches licences revoked.

Somewhat worrying that these problems appear to have arisen in March but have only just been dealt with. If indeed the company and its vehicles are such a danger to the public as to warrant its licences being revoked, surely there must be some means of taking immediate action.

Good pictures, as always. Mind you, any with those wonderful semaphore signals are fine with me.

Re: 33404 goes X50 to Evesham

Very surprised by Johnson's who usually seem to take a real pride in the appearance of their vehicles. This is truly a monstrosity, particularly in comparison with the smartness of their normal bus and coach liveries and I can only think it must be financially highly advantageous and a sign of the f...

Re: 34046 'Braunton' at Worcester

Thanks, Tim - some super picture Particularly pleased to see Braunton ax I was in the village after which it is named only last week. I always think it's a good idea to have another loco on a charter train, steam or diesel, although I know it spoils the authenticity. I could write a book about faile...
